Effect of interventional oviduct embolization in treatment for hydrosalpinx before in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer

Objective To evaluate the effect of interventional oviduct embolization on in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET) in the patients with hydrosalpinx.Methods 200 infertile women who suffered from infertility because of the tubal inflamation and received IVF-ET treatment were divided into three groups.A:(control group) 92 cycles with salpingemphraxis,not hydrosalpinx.B:31 cycles with hydrosalpinx and received laparoscope salpingectomy or salpingostomy before IVF-ET.C:77 cycles with hydrosalpinx and received interventional oviduct embolization before IVF-ET.Results There was no significant difference in clinical pregnancy rate among these groups(P0.05) .But the number of the retrieving oocytes of interventional oviduct embolization group are higher than those of laparoscope group.Conclusion Interventional oviduct embolization is a kind of treatment worth to recommend on hydrosalpinx before IVF-ET.
