Introduction and General Principles of Autopsy

In this chapter, the general principles of pediatric autopsies are discussed, including the death certificate, deaths that must be referred to a medical examiner, the jurisdiction of the medical examiner, manners of death, benefits of an autopsy, and donor organs in this population.
