Oscillations in the burning of hydrogen in a well-stirred reactor at low pressures
1991
We have investigated the problem of the existence of oscillatory oxidation of hydrogen in a gas-phase stirred reactor under conditions of chain ignition. We have examined the qualitative scenario for the development of high- and low-frequecy oscillations in the regions of the first and second ignition limits, we have compared these against the results from numerical calculations and experimental data. We have demonstrated that a decisive role in the process of oscillation development is played by the concentration of molecular oxygen.
