EFEK EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BIJI DAN BIJI KEDELAI HITAM (Glycine soja var. hitam (L.) Sieb. & Zucc.) SEBAGAI ANTIHIPERTRIGLISERIDA PADA TIKUS

2011
Management of hypertriglyceridemia may use either modern or herbal medicines. Until today, the efort to seek herbal medicines that produce anti-hypertriglyceridemia effects still continued. Black soybean has been known empirically containing a bioactive substance that is useful for health. The objective of this study is to measure the efficacy of the black soybean to reduce triglyceride blood level in the animal. This is an experimental study using three groups of male white rats, two groups are the test groups and another one is the control group. Each group consists of six white rats. All the animals then be conditioned into hypertriglyceridemia using 25 ml/kg of pig oil once daily for 30 days. All rats that has become hypertriglyceridemia then been grouped into the first and second test groups and been given the ethanol extract of black soybean's seed coat 0.22 g/kg twice daily for seven days and another group has been given the ethanol extract of black soybean 0.38 g/kg subsequently, with the same treatment. The result of this study showed that both ethanol extract of black soybean's seed coat and black soybean have anti-hypertriglyceridemia effect
