Urban Railways of Metropolitan will be continuously developed as the essential traffic way for the safety, environment, energy conservation and good usefulness. Cylindrical roller bearings are used for the safety and endurance of urban railways, required life of it is above 1,000,000㎞ at general driving operations. But the misalignment of a bearing will arise when the bearing installs for regular repair. The misaligned bearing must be tilted under loads, therefore the rolling contact stresses may be changed. The finite element analysis is conducted to evaluate the internal contact stresses of misaligned bearing. Analysis results provide the stability and reliability of an axle bearing for urban railway vehicles.
