Modelling the growth of bacteria during glucose decomposition in soil under different temperatures

1980
The effect of temperature on the growth of soil microflora is usually expressed by temperature coefficients which cannot be used in simulation of diurnal changes of temperature. We have therefore introduced a function found in our previous experiments into a simple model of bacterial growth, which describes the relationship between temperature and the maximum gross growth rate of the microflora. The results of the simulation are compared to values obtained experimentally.
