Determination of Omeprazole by Differentiated Pulse Voltammetry

OBJECTIVE:To determine omeprazole in omeprazole tablets by differential pulse voltammetry(DPV).METHODS:The different electrochemical behaviors of omeprazole were investigated by different electrochemical analysis method to optimize the analytical method and conditions.RESULTS:The optimized method was DPV in 0.1mol/L HAc-NaAc buffer solution.omeprazole was in good linear relation with peak current at a concentration range of 1.0~40.0mg/L(r=0.9904),the lowest detectable limit was 0.19mg/L and the recovery rate was up to 99.3%~102.0%.CONCLU-SION:DPV is sensitive and low in detectable limit in the determination of omeprazole,which is expected to be the standard determination method of omeprazole.
