Adhesion Energies of 2D Graphene and MoS2 to Silicon and Metal Substrates

2018
Intercalated nanoparticles are used to determine the adhesion energies of 2‐D layers to different substrates such as graphene and MoS 2 to Au, Pt, SiN x , and SiO 2 substrates. The figure illustrates an intercalated nanoparticle between the substrate and graphene. Through this method, Au shows the strongest adhesion energy of 7687.10 and 1207.26 mJ m−2 for graphene and MoS 2 , respectively.
