Report on the 3rd Joint IAEA-ITER Technical Meeting on ITER Materials & Technologies

2017
Abstract The ITER project aims to demonstrate scientific and technological feasibility of controlled energy production through thermonuclear fusion and the IAEA plays a pro-active role in catalyzing innovation and enhancing the worldwide commitment to fusion. The 3 rd Joint IAEA-ITER Technical Meeting on ITER Materials & Technologies, held in November 2015 has been aimed to contribute to the development of a knowledge base of properties, processes and technologies relevant to ITER structural and plasma-facing materials/components. This paper is a summary of the presentations and discussions of the meeting, which was mainly devoted to materials and technologies for ITER, while those relevant beyond, like a DEMO were considered as well within the scope.
