Serials Industry: Truth or Dare

This panel, comprising experts from an academic library, a publisher and two vendor companies, engaged the audience and each other in a series of discussions on the problems and challenges currently facing each of the active members in the scholarly communication chain. The primary topics covered were: the recent flurry of cancellations of e-journal packages by libraries and consortia, evaluating vendor sustainability, jobbing orders (or "where do you put your eggs"), the criteria used to make acquisition or cancellation decisions, and standing orders.
