The sensitivity of the Au MNN Auger transition

We performed convolutions between the intrinsic peak of the high‐energy Auger Au M5N6,7N6,7 transition (at 2015 eV), obtained under high resolution measurements, and several kernels with different shapes and widths, including linear ramps, rectangles and gaussian curves. We did not reproduce closely the shape of the same Au peak measured with low resolution. A need to measure a wide energy range (about 200 eV) with high resolution was detected.
