Synthetic Infrared Scene: Improving the KARMA IRSG Module and Signature Modelling Tool SMAT

Abstract : The main objective of the contract Synthetic Infrared Scene (W7701-082234) was to increase the level of fidelity of infrared guided weapon engagement simulations inside the KARMA simulation environment. The work was carried out from November 2008 to March 2011. This contract report focuses on presenting the new functionalities that were added to the infrared scene generator (IRSG) module which is part of the KARMA framework. Modifications were also done to the signature modelling and analysis tool (SMAT) which uses the IRSG to perform various kind of analysis.
