Impacts of Cloud Micro Physical Process on Precipitation of WRF Model in Three Gorges Reservoir Area

Taking Three Gorges Reservoir Area as study object,a typical rainfall event in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area is selected to analyze precipitation simulation of five different cloud micro physical process schemes by applying the meso-scale weather model WRF.And then the observation precipitation data during the same period are used to evaluate the simulated precipitation spatial characteristics of five different cloud micro physical process schemes of the WRF model.The results show that the WRF model with optimized cloud micro physical process schemes has good applicability in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area;the WSM3 simple ice scheme and Ferrier(new Eta) micro physical scheme have advantages over other cloud micro physical process schemes for the average areal rainfall and precipitation distribution in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area;it has large difference between the simulation effect of WSM5 scheme and the observed values.
