Animal experimental study of neodymium-iron-boron magnetic pressing technique in intestinal anastomosis

2020
Objective To verify the feasibility of magnetic press anastomosis in colonic press anastomosis by establishing a magnetic press anastomosis model of rabbit colon, and to evaluate the fecal bypass function of the press anastomosis. Methods Eight rabbits were selected and placed on the lateral side of the colon with a certain size of magnet. After the anastomosis was formed, the formation of the anastomosis was evaluated by colonography, anatomical observation and pathological examination. An animal model of intestinal obstruction was made by artificially ligating the intestine between the anastomosis to evaluate the fecal bypass function of the press anastomosis. Results Eight rabbits were exposed to magnets on days 6~8 after operation, and one rabbit developed intestinal obstruction. The other seven rabbits had good anastomosis. The intestinal tract between anastomotic stomas was ligated in 3 rabbits after anastomotic stoma formation, one rabbit died on the 6th day after surgery, and the other 2 rabbits survived for a long time, achieving the fecal bypass function of the press anastomosis. Conclusion The technique of magnetic pressing anastomosis can achieve intestinal anastomosis in rabbits,so it is an effective surgical method.
