G A A b st ra ct s tissues had significantly higher total scores compared to tissues from ECC patients without PSC, both in non-cancerous and cancerous tissues. In addition, PSC cases with biliary cancer tended to have a higher COX-2 score in non-cancerous bile duct epithelium compared to cases without biliary cancer. Conclusion: In PSC, overexpression of COX-2 was observed in non-cancerous and cancerous tissues; thus, COX-2 expression may be related to carcinogenesis in biliary cancer.
