Dynamic changes of adrenomedullin in spontaneous hypertensive rats

2012
Objective:To explore the dynamic change of adrenomedullin(ADM) in spontaneous hypertensive rats in the 8th,12th,18th and 24th weeks,in order to probe into its possible functional mechanisms and pathophysiological significance.Method:Randomly choose 40 6-week-old male rats with spontaneously hypertension and 40 Wistar rats as experimental group and control group respectively.Rats were conducted rapidly anesthesia and were taken blood from heart for detecting ADM in the 8th,12th,18th and 24th weeks.Result:ADM was significantly higher in the experimental group than which in the control group [the 8th week(55.42±2.63)ng/L∶(26.86±2.80)ng/L,the 12th week(120.80±3.23)ng/L∶(29.17±2.20)ng/L],[the 18th week(160.90±3.14)ng/L∶(31.53±1.86)ng/L,the 24th week(222.70±8.80)ng/L∶(32.99±2.26)ng/L].Conclusion:ADM increases in rats with spontaneous hypertension.
