Changes and significant of ischemia modified albumin levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome after percutaneous coronary intervention

2014
Objective To investigate the changes and significant of ischemia modified albumin levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) after percutaneous coronary intervention. Methods Thirty-five patients with ACS,who had recieived percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) treatment, were selected to measure the levels of IMA,cTnⅠ and CK-MB before and 30 min,6 h,24 h after PCI trentment respectively, and the results were compared with 40 cases of healthy controls. Results The level of IMA in patients with acute coronary syndrome was higher than that in healthy controls, and there was significant difference between them (P < 0.05).IMA levels began to increase at 30 min after PCI treatment, and gradually decreased to baseline level after 6 h,while the levels of cTnⅠ,CK-MB began to rise after 6 h,still at peak level at 24 h after PCI.Conclusions PCI can cause light injuries of myocardium, the level of IMA increased rapidly and earlier than cTnⅠ after PCI ; IMA can be used as a sensitive index for the diagnosis of acute myocardial ischemia.
