Numerical Simulation on Influence of Melting Rate on GH4169 Alloy in Electroslag Remelting Process

The changes of solidification process parameters of GH4169 alloy in electroslag remelting process were simulated using software MeltFlow.The influences of melting rate on the changes of solidification process parameters were analyzed.It is shown that the solidification process parameters increase gradually with the increase of melting rate,while decrease gradually with the increase of cooling rate from center to edge of the remelting ingot;the freckle segregation does not generate when the melting rate is not greater than 0.06 kg/s;the change trends of local solidification time,secondary dendrite arm spacing and Rayleigh number are consistent,and these parameters are equivalent in the judgment of solidification structure.The simulation results are well consistent with experimental results,which can predicte the generation and extent of defects in different process,can plan and optimize the qualities of ingot.
