Performance research of SOA in all-optical switched networks

All-optical networks and all-optical processing technology are the direction of future development.In the all-optical networks,the header extraction and recognition technology is the key of all-optical signal processing technology.In this paper,some of the typical all-optical header extraction devices and their performances are compared.The result shows that no matter the performance or the structural stability,the extraction device based on SOA-MZI are better than other structures. As long as the appropriate parameter is set,the relatively high extinction ratio can be gained.
