Spectral diffusion in proteins

1998
Spectral-diffusion broadening in a protein follows a power law in time quite in contrast to the respective behavior of a glass which is governed by log (t)-laws. This specific power law behavior is independent of the aging time of the protein at low temperatures. Possible orgins of the power law are discussed: a modified TLS-model and diffusion-like motions in frequency space.
