The invention discloses a method for synthesizing a thiadiazole metallic compound represented by a formula (1), wherein the method comprises: by using metal M as a sacrificial anode, using an inert material as a cathode and using a conductive agent-containing solvent as an electrolyte, 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole is added into the electrolyte, DC is energized into an electrolytic tank for electrolysis, a metal cation is obtained at the anode, 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole is reduced at the cathode to obtain a mercapto anion thereof, the metal cation and the mercapto anion of 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole in the electrolytic tank are subjected to complexation reaction to precipitate the deposition, and the thiadiazole metallic compound is obtained through post-treatment after full reaction; and the metal M may be Zn, Cu, Ni, Mn or Sn. The method provided by the invention has advantages of simple technology, high product purity, and basically no three waste (waste gas, waste water and industrial residue) pollution, and is suitable for industrialization production.
