Café coronario o muerte absurda debido a trozo de comida grande

2018
Accidental deaths in the world have historically been a public health problem that has gone unnoticed. Its relevance in the increase of mortality in the health system, as well as its judicial impact, has allowed to generate more attention by the health authorities. Many years ago, the French defined the death associated with alcohol and food consumption, usually at dawn, as "coronary coffee" due to its supposed association with cardiac ischemic event. We present a case of an adult man who died due to mechanical asphyxia secondary to choking in the upper respiratory tract by semi-solid food material (meat), after a significant intake of alcohol.
