Investigación en educación ambiental con menores en Iberoamérica: Una revisión bibliométrica de 1999 a 2019

2019
The aim of the research presented in this article was to contribute to the configuration and development of the field of environmental education with minors in Latin America. For this reason, a bibliometric review was completed of 179 articles written in Spanish in the past twenty years. The review was based on the use of the SciELO, JSTOR, Redalyc, and Dialnet databases, the collection of Universidad de Chile, and a specialized journal. The findings showed that a growing but discontinuous progression exists in the publications, that the country with the highest number of studies is Spain, that the journal with the most articles is Luna Azul, and that the research is primarily of an empirical and qualitative nature. Thematic trends are described, such as the utilization of innovative methodologies, the didactic use of animals, and community environmental education.
