O Imediatismo frente ao sofrimento psíquico

Society is experiencing the era of immediacy for the most diverse issues. Dealing with emotions has become a great difficulty for people, they tend to seek immediate solutions to psychic suffering. In view of this, this article aimed to describe the reasons for the search for advanced psychotropic drugs as emotional problems. A systematic review of articles published between 2014 and 2019 was used as a research method in the scientific databases Electronic Library (Scielo) and CAPES Journal Portal. The analyzed articles expose a critical view of the growing immediacy in the face of medicalization, since this practice is associated with the belief that psychotropic drugs represent a relief for all problems linked to human existence, leaving aside as inherent issues of life. It is concluded that psychotropic drugs are extremely important for the treatment of various pathologies, but society is misfit about how it understands them and especially about their consumption. It is necessary to look at emotional issues more broadly, taking into account the history of life of each subject, respecting the subjectivity of emotional issues, thus breaking the paradigm of immediacy from the face of suffering.
