The communication station comprises a generating set, an input end of commercial power, a storage battery and a communication power supply. The generating set and the input end of commercial power are used for supplying a working power supply to the communication power supply, and the communication power supply is used for supplying power to the load of the communication station and the storage battery. Concretely, the control method comprises: obtaining a commercial power losing signal and a generator starting signal; generating a storage battery charging limited signal according to the commercial power losing signal and the generator starting signal; and limiting the communication power supply to charge the storage battery when the generator is in the power state according to the generated storage battery charging limited signal. The control method and device of storage battery charging of the communication station can limit the generator to charge the storage battery when the commercial power of the communication station breaks down, so that the power supply capacity of the generator is reduced, and the simple configuration of the generator capacity is realized.
