Medial Crus Perforator Flap

2019
The medial crus flap obtained its nutrition from the spatium intermusculare perforator, myocutaneous perforator and periosteum cutaneous perforator of the posterior tibial artery. This flap had the advantage of not sacrificing the major blood vessels of the cruris. It could be designed as: (1) The flap based on the middle segment of the posterior tibial artery perforator which was suitable for repair of the wound on the knee and upper cruris by transposition or the wound on hand and foot by free transplantation; (2) The flap based on the distal segment of the posterior tibial artery perforator (superior medial malleolus perforator flap) was suitable for repair of the wound on the middle-lower segment of the cruris and on the achilles tendon region.
