Pithoascus intermedins from seeds of Vaccinium angustifolium

Pithoascus intermedius was isolated for the first time from seeds of lowbush blueberry, Vaccinium angustifolium. The low rate of germination of infected seeds suggested that the fungus may have been pathogenic on the host.
