The PDS Model for Efficiency Analysis of Collaborative Products Development

Based on the features analysis of product collaborative development,PDS reference model was proposed for researching the factors that had affected on product collaborative development efficiency.PDS model reflected the essence of product collaborative development from three aspects of product development process(P),collaborative degree(D),and supporting system(S).Firstly,some modeling methods such as IDEFX,Petri network and so on were analyzed and chosen,and then the integral frame of PDS model was introduced.Thereafter,the sub models of PDS model(P Model,D Model and S Model) were created and their characteristics were described in detail.Meanwhile,the procedures of applying these models for efficiency evaluation also were depicted.Finally,a case study was developed as guidance for applying PDS model.
