Synthesis and crystal structure of a three-coordinate bismuth alkoxide with bismuth-β-phenyl secondary interactions, Bi(OCPh3)3

2001
Abstract Bi(OCPh 3 ) 3 has been prepared and isolated and its structure established by X-ray crystallography. Bi(OCPh 3 ) 3 has been found to have a three-coordinate structure, unlike its silyl analogue, due to π interactions between the Lewis acidic metal and one β-phenyl ring of each alkoxide ligand.
