Reliability and safety estimates for fusion reactor liquid metal cooling system

Abstract Reliability and safety estimates for fusion reactor liquid metal cooling system (LMCS) based on LMCS of ITER blanket test module are presented. Calculated results on the reliability are compared with the requirements of ITER Reliability and Safety Group. The estimates of safety are compared with the Russian State Nuclear Inspection safety requirements. The ways to achieve these requirements are analyzed.
