Soft X-Ray Spectroscopics Applied To The Study Of Organic Materials

1984
Within the last decade several spectroscopic techniques have been developed for probing the electronic structure of organic molecules, solids and surfaces over large binding energy ranges using synchrotron radiation. We discuss results from several of these techniques, including absorption spectroscopy, soft X-ray fluorescence and photoemission with tunable excitation. Among the problems presently studied are the determination of valence band structure of bulk and adsorbate systems, resonant intershell interaction, Carbon is core level spectroscopy and final state effects including X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES).© (1984) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
