HUMAN ANTIBODY BINDING TO HUMAN TNFα

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting the human tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) activity. SOLUTION: The method for inhibiting the human TNFα activity includes bringing the human TNFα into contact with an antibody so that the human TNFα activity is inhibited. In the method, the antibody is an isolated human antibody or antigen-binding part thereof dissociating from the human TNFα with a K d of ≤1×10 -8 M and a K off rate constant of ≤1×10 -3 s -1 , both measured by surface plasmon resonance. The antibody neutralizes the human TNFα cytotoxicity in a standard in vitro L929 assay with an IC 50 of ≤1×10 -7 M. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
