Spatiotemporal evolution form a pair of like polarity solitons to chaos

This Letter investigates the spatiotemporal evolution from a pair of like polarity solitons to chaos. We reported a particular top oscillation phenomenon occurring during the evolution which has not been noticed in previous work. The experimental observation and the numerical calculation agree with each other qualitatively.
