New use of loquat flower and its extract

The invention provides application of Eriobotrya japonica Lindl and extract thereof to the preparation of medicines for treating pharyngitis. The invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition for treating pharyngitis and a preparation method thereof. The invention uses the Eriobotrya japonica Lindl and the extract thereof to treat pharyngitis, in particular to chronic pharyngitis, with definite drug effect. With the pharmaceutical composition prepared by the method, the drug effect is obviously superior to the prior medicine, the controllability is strong, and a new choice for clinic is provided.
