Análisis de los Smart Citys en América del Sur

In recent years, importance has been given to the concepts of "smart cities" or smart cities, which incorporate information and communication technologies in urban management and which broaden tools to stimulate the information of an efficient government in the collaborative planning process and citizen participation. This work aims to carry out an analysis of countries and their important cities in South America, in the development of smart cities. Based on a descriptive research based on the bibliographic review, four major cities in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Montevideo were taken as a model with data at the city level and at the country level. The results obtained show a comparison of the leading Smart City indicators in LAC, which determines that the city of Buenos Aires, the country of Argentina, occupies the first place in the employment of smart cities.
