CAD, patients with diabetes and CAD more frequently had a less stringent A1C target but overall achieved similar glycemic control. While patients with diabetes and CAD were treated more aggressively and were more likely to achieve guidelinesrecommended blood pressure, LDL-C, and the combination of all 3 targets (A1C, blood pressure, and LDL-C), risk factor management remained suboptimal in both groups.
