Comparative study of Hp infection on the subjects from high-and low-incience areas for esophageal cancer

Objective: To explore correlation of Hp infection and esophageal gastric cardia epithelia on the subjects from high-and low-incidence areas for esophageal cancer.Methods: Biopsies to examine for histopathology and Hp infection,to analyze the relation between esophageal and gastric epithelia and Hp infection on subjects from high-and low-incidence areas.Results: Hp infection rate on subjects from low-is lower than those from high-incidence area,but Hp infection in gastric cardia is higher than high-incidence area.Conclusion: Hp infection in gastric cardia might be a protection for esophageal epithelium.
