The role of informal curricula in furthering intercultural dialogue

2019
This chapter explores the possibilities and limits of the informal curriculum in promoting intercultural dialogue among students in the context of a specific Chinese university. Through a document analysis of the institution’s internationalisation policy and an investigation of the University’s informal curriculum linked to internationalisation, this study investigated a group of home and international students’ experiences and interpretations vis-a-vis the implementation of this informal curriculum, questioning how far the university environment promotes intercultural dialogue through its internationalisation policy.
