Test Facilities for Radioactive Materials Transport Packages (Sandia National Laboratories, USA)

AbstractCompliance with regulatory requirements for normal conditions and hypothetical accident environments can be demonstrated by testing packages developed to transport radioactive material. A comprehensive testing capability has been developed at Sandia National Laboratories to simulate the required test conditions and provide response data. Several of the major facilities available to support testing of radioactive material packages are described.
