O uso da cola de fibrina na prevenção da fístula liquórica após microcirurgia transesfenoidal

Fourteen patients with pituitary adenomas were operated on through a transsphenoidal approach. All of them had sealing of the sellar floor with cartilage fragment and fibrin glue. Postoperatively one patient developed CSF fistula, successfully treated conservatively. The present results support the efficacy of fibrin glue in sealing the sellar floor and sphenoid sinus and preventing CSF fistulas.
