Influence of auricular point sticking combined with traditional Chinese medicine calisthenics on postoperative anxiety and immune function of patients with breast cancer

2016
Objective To explore the influence of auricular point sticking combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) calisthenics on the postoperative anxiety and immune function of patients with breast cancer. Methods 80 patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, 40 cases for each group. The control group received routine perioperative nursing care for breast cancer radical surgery; in addition, the observation group undertook auricular point sticking and did TCM calisthenics, 10 days as a treatment course and treated 6 courses. The anxiety score and the changes of immune function indicators were observed in both groups. Results The anxiety score and CD8 were obviously lower and the T lymphocyte subsets (CD4, CD4 / CD8) and immunoglobulin (IgA, IgM and IgG) values were better in the observation group than in the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusions Auricular point sticking combined with traditional Chinese medicine calisthenics can alleviate anxiety postoperatively in patients with breast cancer, improve immune function, and promote physiological and psychological health.
