Chemical composition of the essential oils of exudates from Pinus oocarpa Schiede

Essential oil of exudates from Pinus oocarpa Schiede, grown in the Andes of Venezuela, was obtained by hydrodistillation in a Clevenger-type apparatus. A GC-MS analysis showed that α-pinene and β-pinene were the main constituents, but the turpentine was also high in heptanes.
