Research Report 62 Summary Practitioners' perceptions of the role of Neighbourhood Crime and Justice co-ordinators

2012
In November 2008 the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice set up 60 Neighbourhood Crime and Justice (NCJ) co-ordinators to respond to public concerns identified in Engaging Communities in Fighting Crime: A review by Louise Casey (Cabinet Office, 2008). These NCJ co-ordinators were practitioners who operated at local authority level and aimed to respond to these concerns by working with criminal justice partners.1
