The Influence the Temperature Changing of the Contaminated Insulator on Flashover Voltage

The factors influencing surface flashover phenomenon have been explored since several decades ago while the contamination on insulator surface has become an unnegligible aspect. Researches indicated the existence of contamination can contribute to a large reduction of the flashover voltage. However, there is no exact explanation for this complex problem. The mechanism of the flashover under contamination condition needs to be further studied.
