Generation of strong shock waves at the action of ring modulated laser beam radiation on the target

In the present work it is suggested to use space-modulated radiation for the generation of strong shock waves in a target while exposing it to high-energy radiation. This allows to increase the range of achievable pressures and limiting compressing 3-5 times without enhancing the power of the radiation sources.
