How important is the miniOSCE in formative assessment of students in undergraduate degree in nursing? This is an account of Teacher Training Course experience for the undergraduate course in Nursing, Health Sciences School - ESCS of Education and Research Foundation in Health Sciences - FEPECS, based on the methodology of questioning. The objective was to demonstrate the importance of evaluating structured in the educational development of the student, following the criteria of validity, reliability, equivalence, viability, educational effect, catalyst and acceptability. The miniOSCE as an evaluation method checks the knowledge, skills and attitudes of students, providing greater accuracy and completeness throughout the evaluation process, making the process more realistic, facilitating the learning areas that need to be strengthened.
