Current Research Status of Glass Substrates for Plasma Display Panels (PDP)

The technical requirements for glass substrate used in PDP is presented in this article. Conventional soda-lime glass and two new color PDP glasses,PD200 and Cs25,are introduced,and some of the factors that have limited their widespread use are analyzed. It is pointed out that developing a new glass substrate with high quality and low price is very important to economy in our country.
