Mechanism Modeling Considering Cognitive Overload and Cognitive Confusion

2019
System safety, reliability and risk analysis are important tasks that are performed throughout the system lifecycle to ensure the dependability of safety-critical systems [1].The major safety accidents of Human Machine Systems(HMS) are often caused by the coupling evolution of human, machine and environment in the mission process. The changes of task characteristics, information characteristics and performation shaping factors are related to the historical interaction process of Human Machine Interaction(HMI), which makes human error have obvious path-dependent characteristics. In order to better investigate the influence of path-dependent features on human error, this paper constructs the mechanism mode of HMI between cognitive overload and cognitive confusion from the information level. In addition, the impact of performance shaping factors updates on HMI is also analyzed by qualitative method.
