Transabdominal radical trachelectomy combined with pelvic lymphadenectomy in the treatment of early-stage cervical carcinoma:A Report of 3 cases

2009
Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of radical trachelectomy combined with pelvic lymphadenectomy in the treatment of early-stage cervical carcinoma. Methods:Three young women with early-stage cervical carcinoma, demanding the preservation of child-bearing potentials, were treated from February 2008 to September 2008.Results:The operation time was 140~150 min,and the estimated blood loss was 150~260 ml.No complications were found.Normal menses recovered one month after operation.Mean following-up 7~14 months(mean10,5months)found no recurrence in all the patients. Conclusions:Radical trachelectomy combined with pelvic lymphadenectomy is a feasible method for early-stage cervical carcinoma in young patients with child bearing demands.
