Laços (in)visíveis no espaço escolar: a temática indígena e os princípios do Buen Vivir

2020
Abstract: The teaching of indigenous themes started to appear as mandatory in basic education establishments after the implementation of the law 11.645/2008. Despite its gaps, the law is part of efforts to recognize and respect indigenous groups, promoting intercultural dialogue. In spite of this significant legislative advancement, implementing legal proposals represents a challenge. This article has been produced from research on history, culture and indigenous ancestry aiming to propose the interlocution of the indigenous theme in the school space from the principles that substantiate the Buen Vivir. In methodological terms, it is a qualitative research, since it seeks ways to (re) interpret the indigenous question from other cultural sources. Following this perspective, the (re) construction of knowledge about indigenous themes in the school space requires a qualified dialogue between generations capable of allowing learning to promote autonomy and contribute to a citizen formation focused on respect for nature and all forms of life. Finally, it is understood that the correct inclusion of indigenous themes in the school promotes the strengthening of respect and cultural diversity recognition, minimizing the debt of the state concerning this subject. Keywords: Ancestrality. Buen Vivir. Education.
